ISO LOAD INDEX - SPEED RATINGS
UNDERSTANDING LOAD & SPEED RATINGS
Tyre performance is marked by ISO LOAD INDEX (LI) and SPEED SYMBOL (SI). LI refers to the maximum load that one tyre can support, and SI refers to the maximum speed that a tyre can handle. Exceeding the legal speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.
ISO LOAD INDEX
The ISO LOAD INDEX is a numerical code associated with the maximum load a tyre can carry at the speed indicated by its SPEED SYMBOL under service conditions specified by the tyre manufacturer. (1 kg = 2.205 lbs.)
